Happy Birthday Tom Baker !!
Thomas Stewart Baker was born on January 20, 1934 in Liverpool, England. He is, of course, best known for his work on the BBC series Doctor Who from 1974 until 1981. Tom Baker, was my “First” Doctor, it was his portrayal of the fourth incarnation of The Doctor that really solidified my interest in Science Fiction. Happy 50th The Phantom Tollbooth!!
The Phantom Tollbooth turns 50 - It’s a wonderful story about a boy named Milo “who didn’t know what to do with himself - not just sometimes, but always” It is a classic that I think still holds up even in today’s electronic heavy society.

Google Doodle Celebrates Mark Twain
Today’s Google Doodle celebrates Mark Twain’s birthday with a great doodle of Tom Sawyer and the iconic white fence from the story.
Twain was born (as Samuel Langhorne Clemens) on November 30, 1835, during a flyby of Halley’s Comet, and died 75 years later, right after the comet’s next pass. Happy Birthday, Mark Twain!
